I’m in love with the coral, but in the rare occasion that this luscious color doesn’t work, there’s always basic black!

bike and flowers

Happy Friday, everyone!  The weather has been “California-like” this week in Dallas!  My plans this weekend are to spend as much time outside as possible and enjoy it before the Texas heat begins to burn!

I love planting herbs this time of year.  In the past I’ve stacked terra cotta pots for herb and flower gardens, but I’m loving the look of these galvanized buckets for a more industrial look.  Perhaps this year’s basil will get a new look for it’s home!

I really want to do a pallet garden like this one that’s been pinned on Pinterest a bagillion times!  If you have any old wooden pallets in the Dallas area and want to get rid of them, give me a shout!

OK…I’ve decided to try a new Friday series and I would welcome your feedback.  During my romp around the web during the week, I find many exceptional things that I don’t share, simply because I don’t have time to put together a complete post, so I thought I would share several links that I feel are highlights from my web travels…

This sweet kitty is ready to come to your defense!

I’m swooning over Eden & Eden’s vintage folk cushions!

Could possibly be the perfect dress for this spring and summer

Anyone care to join me at this retreat?

Hmmm…Where shall we brunch in Paris?

Easy changes for less toxins in your home!

It’s on!  Cover the night today!

Let me know what you think about the quick links and if it’s something you like, I’ll continue every Friday…

Have a great weekend, ya’ll!  XO!

Camera Ready

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

The Proenza  Schouler Spring 2012 collection shown at NY’s Fashion week was impressive….but the one thing that has me wanting more were the little camera bags!

I won’t be surprised if we don’t see many knock-off of these very soon!

Here’s how they strutted it on the runway…

…I’m sure that this model is cursing the day that she started biting her nails…bless her heart…

I wish the adorable chain strap was cross-body length…then this bag would be perfection for me!

I have my late Uncle John’s old camera and leather bag, so it looks like I’ll create my own vintage version of this Proenza hit!  What do you think?  Does it work?

Frock and Roll

Saturday, February 26th, 2011

I’ve sat down three different times to highlight a few favorite looks coming up for Spring for NY’s 2011 Spring Fashion Week. I can’t pick my favorite. There are so many great looks coming up, I’d rather share a highlight of the entire week.

Sheet Dreams: Bed Linens for Spring

Friday, March 26th, 2010

I think Spring has finally arrived and this means it’s time to open the windows and let the house breath after a very long winter.  Treating your bed to fresh linens will make you and your home happy.  Here are a few of my recent favorites.  White is the only option for me!

Cross-stitched bed linens from Toast

Toast is a London based company that offers international shipping.  I love everything here!

Duet Sheets from Peacock Alley

Peacock Alley linens are sold at locations nationwide.  Check out their site for the closest to you. Dallas shoppers can also find them at the Wisteria Outlet and their own outlet at the Peacock Alley headquarters in Dallas.

Trousseau Sheets from Sundance

Sundance is another favorite of mine.  I love the sweet detail on these sheets and cases.

Kantha Cloths at Wisteria Outlet

The Kantha cloths that I found at the Wisteria Outlet would be perfect to throw at the end of a crisp white linen filled bed.

What do you do in your home to welcome Spring?
