Creature Comfort
Tuesday, October 12th, 2010Tieks – definition – fashionable, full-time flats that fold to fit in a small purse.
You will not believe the range of colors available! My favorite are the classic ballerina pink!
I can’t imagine anything better to pack for a long trip! They’re made of 100% top-grain leather and the back is cushioned, rather than elasticized, to ensure comfort. Oh, and they come in a reusable tote! Bonus!
Find them all here.
Baby Steps
Thursday, September 30th, 2010Oh, I know lots of little toes that need to go in these Gracious May shoes!
Can you believe these snow boots?
Your little boy’s first pair of leather (albeit faux) loafers…
She’s even got your toddler covered!
Find Gracious May here.
Bootie-licious
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010These lace-up Cynthia Vincent booties are adorable for fall ($325 @ Piperlime), but if this version will break your bank….
go for this “oh, so close” version from Aldo @ $90.
Wear these with skinny jeans AND dresses! I’m all for splurging on classics that you’ll wear forever, but when it’s a trend that could possibly be gone with the change of the calendar I would much rather find a great “stand in” that I won’t feel bad about selling on Ebay, tossing in a garage sale, or donating to Goodwill the next year.
These camel Chinese Laundry platforms from Modcloth are another great value at $60 and will instantly lengthen your legs. Bonus!
Thanks, BussBuss!
Goodie New Shoes
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010I love buying shoes at Anthropologie! They’re unique and chances are you’ll never see them on anyone else. Here are a few that I have my eye on for fall!
Completely love the adorable vintage-style rhinestone bow on these reptilian leather flats!
I normally don’t do ruffles, but these ruffles are “wonky” and I love it!
Clog boots? Yes, please!
Over the knee boots are the “must have” for fall!
Ooey chocolate leather goodness!!
I seriously bought these same shoes about 6 years ago…got them at Banana Republic. Why did I sell them at the consignment store?
Sevilla heels! Meow!
Oh, I could go on… Where’s your favorite place to shop for shoes?
Sole Sister
Saturday, August 21st, 2010I blame my shoe addiction on my father.
You see, when I was a child he owned a shoe store in Henderson, the small town in East Texas where I grew up. I had every color and style of shoe imaginable. One of each! It was magical!
This started the fire that led me, as a young adult, to take vacation time from work to model shoes at market every season where I would leave the final day with very tired feet, a nice little check (I would have done it for free!) and a garbage bag full (literally) of shoe samples.
These are the reasons why this video tour of Jimmy Choo’s founder and Chief Creative Officer, Tamara Mellon’s shoe closet leaves me a bit weak in the knees….feeling a litte funny in my tummy… Brace yourselves!

Twist and Shout!
Friday, July 9th, 2010You’ll be the coolest mom or dad around if you treat your kids to these cool neon and tie-die shoelaces! …Oh, and make sure you get a few pairs for yourself too! They’re that fun!
These laces are made with soft stretchy material that allows you to tie your shoes once and never have to tie them again! Genius!
Find them here. Don’t miss Twistband’s comfortable hair ties and head bands too! All exceptional!
