When I was a kid and things got boring in the summer, sometimes that boredom led to “wrapping houses”. All of my Dallas friends, and their kids, call it “rolling houses”…wrapping or rolling…it was a blast while we were young! Of course, it had nothing to do with wrapping a the house at all…it was all about tossing multiple rolls of toilet paper into the highest branches of your friend's front yard trees and watching the long “tp” tail flow down. If you didn't get caught in the act (which was truthfully the best part of it all…), the next morning the phones were a-buzz with conversations about “who done it”!

I wish I could lay claim to this j
ob! That's got to be the work of a true professional!
As an adult, all I can think about is all of that waisted toilet paper…. I hate to admit it, but when I was young “being green” had to do with Kermit the Frog.
Here's the cute little toilet paper roll craft that made me recall these childhood memories…
How cute are these little owls? If your kids get a bit bored during this holiday weekend, encourage them to make these sweet owls instead of ruining somebody's holiday weekend cleaning up mounds of toilet paper…
