Thank you, Abbie Chesney of eye on the sparrow designs, for telling me about this cool new eco cleaners and market in Frisco!
Courtney Benson, owner of Grass Roots Eco Cleaners and Market and mom, had a desire to spend more time with her kids and took her former company’s downsizing as the perfect opportunity to change her direction.
“My idea is to create a business that connects a more grass roots lifestyle to a very busy community. We offer organic dry cleaning, so our clients don’t have to worry about the effects of dry cleaning chemicals. It is important that there are smart choices out there for everyday functions, like going to the dry cleaner! We also wanted to promote other small business, as well, so we brought in some amazing local artists from Etsy to showcase and sell their goods in the store. It’s a new concept, shopping at the dry cleaners, but I know the community will embrace it!”
If all this isn’t enough “good”, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that the prices are lower than typical chemical laden dry cleaners! They make it easy being green!
From July 25th – August 6th they are doing an “Eco Bag To School” event. Get a totally eco-chic bag for the new school year. For every bag sold, they are donating 10% of the sale to Frisco Family Services to help with school supplies for those in need.
“Like” their Facebook here and get out to see them soon!
I’m really picky about leather goods, so that makes this recommendation just that much sweeter! HarLex is divine!
This Hong Kong-based husband and wife duo get it right by personally hand-crafting down to the hand-stitching… This camera strap is one of my favorites of the collection!
Don’t you love the simple way that they personalize everything? Small initial perfection! This luggage tag would be a perfect gift for anyone at just $28!

I shared these non-traditional brooch bouquets before, but when I saw these I just had to share! I’ve talked to several people lately who have never seen one before, so hopefully some of you will read this post! Aren’t they amazing?
These bouquets are from Hula Gypsy. You can find other choices on Etsy by searching “brooch bouquet”. Here are a few that I thought were exceptional…
This yellow and blue bouquet from The Heirloom Bouquet, would be adorable for an informal vintage wedding.
Pretty in pink from Lionsgate Designs
Totally amazing pearl and rhinestone combination from Noaki
Would you carry a brooch bouquet at your wedding?
You may have spotted this easy DIY in Martha Stuart’s June issue… When I took time to read the directions and realized that you don’t have to cut out all of those tissue paper circles, my interest in the process of putting together quickly grew!
All you need are these pre-cut tissue paper circles (480 for $6) from Hygloss Products…
and a wire-frame spherical paper lanterns ($3.25) from Pearl River…
and this colorful DIY is ready to be constructed quickly with the help of some two-sided tape! I love it!
I also love this mixed page pendent light on etsy! The possibilities are endless!!
I’m feelin’ crafty!!
