Bade Stageberg Cox knows how to breath life into something someone once saw as no longer having value.

For his Street Seats Project, he collected 50 abandoned chairs from the streets of New York and covered them with a coat of taxi cab yellow paint. Each chair is stamped under it’s seat with the location and date when it was found.

This project is currently running and raising money for the Pier 94 Coffee Bar. If you’re interested in having one of these restored treasures, contact Bade at streetseats@bscarchitecture.com.

Street Seats encourages me to to stretch my imagination and creativity to help others. I love the way that the chairs are eclectic and mixed in design, just as the neighborhoods that they came from…coming together to support something that everyone enjoys. Simply beautiful!

These last few weeks have been rough for Texas. Wildfires have taken their toll on much of Central and East Texas and they are continuing to burn. Just yesterday the Texas Forest Service responded to 10 new fires for 179 acres. In the last seven days Texas Forest Service has responded to 127 fires for 9,205 acres. It takes a tremendous amount of volunteers from across the nation to contain these fires and protect our land, homes and people.
I love it when people put their talent to work to help others. That’s exactly what AIRSHP did.

Evan and Dustin Bozarth, of AIRSHP watched their family members and friends scramble to save their homes and watched as the places where they grew up were torched. They decided to do something about it and created these cool t-shirts and are donating 100% of the profits to the Central Texas wildfire relief efforts.

Cool, right? And they’re only $20! Find all of their designs here and play a part in helping out.
This Texas girl thanks you!!
Thank you, Randall White, one of my very favorite neighbors, for sharing this bit of goodness!
