Wow! This week flashed by quickly for me! Today I’m headed to Orlando for the weekend for work… Hopefully you won’t be working this weekend! Anyone have any fun plans?
Here’s a few links that I found sharable this week…
Phone cable and tripod in one!
A great pesto recipe!
This modern daybed needs to live in my house!
I heard Frankie’s olive oil is divine! What a great hostess gift for the upcoming holiday season!
Why did I not know about Housing Works?
Oh, how I wish COS was in the states!
Have a great weekend, ya’ll! XO!
Social Enterprise – definition – A business whose primary purpose is to serve the common good. That purpose might include training and employing homeless or low-income individuals or by paying a “fair trade” price to a
rtisans from the developing world.
Wouldn’t it be your first choice to do business with a social enterprise? You can find them with the Social Impact app. It’s like a “socially conscious Yelp”!

Have you caught the Olympic spirit? Watching the Opening Ceremonies does it to me every time!
My favorite part? Cue the Bond music…
I’m blown away by all of the planning and building that takes place to prepare for this event and it appears that London was ready to show the world what it’s like to be a proper host!
The undertaking of hosting such an event requires the construction of a mini-city within London that is larger than the small town where I grew up that will accommodate 16,000 athletes and officials during the games. Let’s take a peek inside…
The apartments are simple and modern and have balconies that look out onto Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the London skyline.
The dining hall, a temporary structure, seats up to 5,000 and is open 24 hours. Can you imagine the massive amounts of food that must be prepared every day? Not to mention the various selections that must meet the taste of the world’s various pallets.
I guess if you’re an Olympic athlete you can afford to eat a few Big Macs?
The village includes a hair salon, mini recording studio, a games room, movie room, the Globe social club and many more spaces to allow the athletes to socialize and relax during their stay.
If you’re interested in owning a piece of Olympic Village, check out Remains of the Games, where already selling off furniture, fixtures, and equipment to interested buyers. You could purchase a 4-piece set of bedroom furniture for only $150…
After the Olympics are over, the village will be affordable housing for Londoners…
Check back every day this week for more Olympic inspiration!!
Here’s what caught my eye this week!
I could use this clock most mornings. Why is waking up so hard to do?

Untangle your doll’s hair
Shut your mouth! Cinnamon Roll Casserole! Get out!

Now there’s another choice for what to do with your four-legged child while you’re away!
I really think I might consider this! Dog Vacay helps you find a real home where your pet can stay. Dog lovers sign up to host dogs for a small fee (starting at $15). There’s a picture of the home with a description of the environment (additional dogs, big backyard, etc) and a calendar that shoes vacancy.
My Princess is not a kennel dog… I wonder if there’s a host that has a whole guest room dressed with fine linens for her?
Here’s a few things that caught my eye this week!
From skateboard to iPhone cover - Rad!
This double-size beach towel give the perfect message!
TV at Ikea. Really!
Wouldn’t you love to have this some mornings?
This murphy bed…to die for!
Check out my post on this week’s Dwell With Dignity blog!
I’m so happy to have stumbled upon Sally Beerworth‘s “The Joy of Ex Foundation“! After Sally’s “happy” was temporarily stolen, she took her lemons and made lemonade by writing a funny novel to bring back her smile. While she was writing the book, she decided to start “The Foundation” and formed a Facebook page where followers quickly fell in love with her quick wit and silly quotes. Soon she started printing these quotes on items and the rest is history…
Find all of her fun products here…
and her book, Updating Under the Influence, things I forgot I wrote, here...
Thanks, Sally, or bringing “happy” to all of us!!
Learn how to make your baby fly!

My friend, Tracy Porter, is back in a beautiful boho way!
In the words of Tracy, 2011 was the year of the “skinned knee”, but this “knee” is healed and better than ever! Her new Poetic Wanderlust is full of all of the things we’ve always loved about Tracy’s boho style and passion for all things lovely.
I’m totally crazy in-love with her rugs! Each one is custom made in her California studio and no two will be alike! (You all know I love unique!) Total statement of true poetic wanderlust!
I love Tracy’s heart and her genuine heartfelt style that inspires her designs.
