I don’t think any of us planned to have SO much fun and never dreamed that pulling all of our “vintage stash” and throwing it together would work so well!
We have received so many compliments and we are so appreciative and humbled by your huge support!
We don’t know what’s next, but we do think we’re on to something! If you’re planning to go to Market Sunday or Monday (1/22 & 23), please come see us at Market Hall (on the opposite side of cash and carry). We still have some great finds for you, including a HUGE industrial table on casters that needs to go home with someone special! We’ve all been keeping some of our stash in our cars so we can continue to ‘restyle’ and ‘refresh’, so we’ll have new items that come out tomorrow!
I’ll continue to keep you posted on what’s next for the Stash girls! We promise it will be good!
My 16 year old nephew, Clayton, gave me a ‘Modern Family’ quotes 2012 calendar for Christmas…one of my most favorite gifts! It’s sure to bring me at least one laugh a day in the new year…there’s not a better gift than that, right?
Have you got your 2012 calendar? Here are a few that I think are super cool…
Today I heard from the uber-stylish Grasie Mercedes letting me know that she’s on the Trendera Blogger Panel for New York Fashion week and that means she gets lots of ‘first looks’ and ‘inside scoop’! That’s why you’ve got to check out her blog, Style Me Grasie, soon!
While perusing through all of the yummy fashion goodies, one thing stuck out that I had to share…
This is Grasie…so cute…and you’ve got to check out her boots! Those of you that know me know that I collect vintage cowboy boots. They’re one of my favorite things. I have a hard time resisting any vintage boot that fits me and has a pointy toe…the pointier the better! Grasie actually cut these boots down to make booties! Genius!
She spotted these boots as her inspiration and bumped it up a notch by cutting them down and finishing them with stitching a leather hem around the top. Nice!
I’m totally doing this with a pair that I have that I was considering selling! Thanks, Grasie, for the cowboy boot inspiration!
For those of you that are in the Dallas area that want to cut down and stitch up a pair of your boots, I recommend Deno’s in Highland Park Village for the job!

A percentage of sales for the evening will go to Angie’s Friends, a local animal rescue organization.
I love roller coasters, but this one scares me a bit…
This baby is located in Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park in Yamanash, Japan and is called Takabisha. Blackened tunnels…141 ft vertical freefall at 121 degrees…officially the steepest roller coaster in the world! I almost screamed out loud (among other things) while I watched this video!
Takabisha costs $40 million to build and will cost $11.75 (Y1000) to ride, excluding park admission fees.
Do you like roller coasters? What’s your favorite roller coaster? Would you be brave enough to ride the Takabisha?
One of my most treasured memories from my trip to Paris will be my time spent on the pedestrian bridge, Le Pont des Arts. All along the bridge’s fence people from all over the world have affixed padlocks to symbolize an everlasting love with your sweetheart. My forever friend, Sharon, of Bless Your Neighbor blog, brought locks for all of us so we could “lock in our love”, or make a wish for love, on the bridge.
These locks have been quiet controversial among Parisians. Many say they “raise problems to the preservation of our architectural heritage”. I found them beautiful!
Along the bridge there were Parisians gathering with friends to share a glass of wine…
as the boats moved along the Seine River beneath them.
