I recently discovered the wonderful creations of Sailor Rose and I’m smitten with the way they translate their love for Liberty of London prints into “easy-to-wear” staples for your closet!
The older I get, the more I appreciate garments that are well-made and timeless. Sailor Rose is all about classic design that will be good for years. I also adore that their designs are made right in the middle of New York’s historic garment district!
As much as I love their women’s collection, their designs for children are my absolute favorites!
Can you even stand it? SO adorable! Find Sailor Rose’ site here and if you’re fortunate enough to be in NYC, stop by their retail shop at 60 East 4th St!

I’m crazy about Corbin Pierce’s Heavenly State Clothing‘s first initial t-shirt release! At a sweet $18, this is sure to be my favorite stocking stuffer this Christmas!
Corbin had an idea and wasted no time in executing and now you can take advantage of showing your Texas pride in style! Here’s how it all happened in his words…
“Basically this all got started a few months ago! I was in between jobs and day dreaming at two of my friends Daniel and Becky’s breakfast table over coffee (what we now call our official board room) – I told them about my idea and they loved it so much we started drawing out designs on napkins – by 1pm that afternoon Becky had sent me photoshop renderings of what we had dreamt up and we were off. “
“Since I’d never done any sort business venture like this I was absolutely clueless as to how we were supposed to begin. I called my uncle Peter (a long time clothing store shop owner) with about a million questions and after spending an afternoon together I was on my way to copyrighting our brand “Heavenly State Clothing” and our products! After that I made calls to about 15 other people (ranging from lawyer friends to friend’s little sisters in sororities to marketing, accounting and artsy friends) asking their advice and gaining their input – that’s how this whole thing was built!”

Oh, Diane! You had me at wrap dress!
Recently Diane Von Furstenburg opened up her estate and vintage archives to vintage fashion blogger, Natalie Joos. I’m totally green with envy! Her collection had never been shared before… and I think it’s exceptional…but what else would we expect from DVF!
I love the way the trend of mixing patterns is “spot on” with the pieces from her previous work. Oh, and don’t miss the incredible floor to ceiling bookshelves in von Furstenburg’s library in the background…
Doesn’t this giant lipstick make you want to chop on a tree?
Listen to the wisdom in Diane’s words… I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for her!

Recently my good friend, Amy, of House of Wentworth, scored the hottest pair of jeans that have had me green with envy!
She picked them up locally at St Bernard Sports (one of my favorite places to shop in Dallas!), but I didn’t see them on their web site. They’re 7 for All Mankind, so you can find them at most department store sites. They are perfect for all of the holiday soiree’s that will soon be added to your social calendar!
I’m considering these budget friendly silver skinnies from Asos for myself! They were just put on sale at under $50! What’s not to love?
Bottom line? Metallic jeans are this season’s wardrobe must-have! Dress them up or down…you can’t go wrong!
What will be your go-to fashion item for this holiday season?

100% of the profit of the sale of these t-shirts go to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
There’s an great story behind the art…
“Sebastian Errazuriz’s studio was paralyzed after the hurricane. Unable to work and tired of watching the horrible disaster unfold on the news, Errazuriz decided to design something to help raise much-needed relief funds. This idea occurred to him after seeing the water line marked on the walls of the flooded galleries in New York’s Chelsea art district.” via Grey Area
