Larger Than Life
When I lost my best friend of 14 years, my sweet German Shorthaired Pointer, Princess, I could have never dreamed that her image would be chosen to be showcased in one of downtown Dallas’ hot new restaurants, LARK on the Park located just across the street from Klyde Warren Park.
A few weeks ago I asked Corbin Pugh, the son of one of my best friends (Dana of Tattered Style) and extremely talented artist, to draw his interpretation of Princess and provided him with this picture that I took of her…one of my favorites! Needless to say, I was thrilled with the outcome…
I love Corbin’s unique style and how he’s able to interpret images on paper. See more of his projects here. Corbin’s “Princess” is one of 7 talented artist works chosen to be featured for the next 3 months at LARK.
I finally found time this weekend to spend a little time at LARK on the Park and in addition to their great taste in art, their food is amazing! Married chefs, Melody Bishop and Dennis Kelley, seem to share complete harmony in the kitchen and prepare just the right mix of fresh and local fare.
I hope you find time within the next 3 months to see “Princess” at LARK in the park. She’s located in The Nest, the private meeting room to the right as you walk in the front door…
Thanks, Corbin Pugh, for doing such a fantastic job of showcasing my girl!
