Music To Your Ears
One of my very first blog posts was about Abbie Chesney and her Eye On The Sparrow Designs. Abbie makes really rad jewelry out of local musician’s guitar strings. You can find her pieces in many retails stores and on her Etsy shop. Abbie started her jewelry business after the death of her good friend, musician Carter Albrecht, and now donates her proceeds to the Carter Albrecht Music Foundation.

After having HUGE success at a recent Fab.com flash sale, she used the funds to produce a cd featuring local musicians in an effort to help them gain exposure. This compilation features fifteen songs by local musicians compiled by Dallas’ producer extra-ordinaire, Salim Nourallah.
The release of the CD will be kicked off with a concert at The Kessler (coolest music venue in town!) on September 6. Tickets are only $8 and include a copy of the CD! What a deal! The concert will feature musicians Chris Holt, Salim Nourallah, John Lefler, Dave Little, and Sammy Strittmatter.
You can purchase a copy of “Change The World” on cdbaby, iTunes, Eye On The Sparrow Designs website and locally at Good Records. Abbie said, “My goal is to give away as many copies as possible through jewelry sales. I’d rather give the cd’s away in an effort to have as many ears hear it as possible.” I love her passion!
