Metropolitan Chic
Hi everyone! I’m Jessica with Arcadian Lighting, a website and blog where I get to write about beautiful lighting fixtures and inspiring interior designs. I’m excited to be guest posting for Kelley today because The Hidden List is such a wonderful blog for stylish, inspiring things. I knew this was the place to share a few metropolitan chic interiors. Enjoy!
Is there anything more chic than an expansive room with floor-to-ceiling windows, stone columns and funky furniture? It’s all the more sophisticated when you know that Paris is just outside.
Crisp white walls and dining chairs look extra chic against the black accents in this room. The abstract artwork and blue porcelain lamps really stand out as well.
This chic Park Avenue apartment is full of elegant antiques and eclectic artwork. The modern furniture is a nice contrast to the ornate décor.
I love the mix of antique velvet upholstered furniture in powder blue with the aged damask wallpaper in this living room. A modern abstract painting and white floor lamp help update the scene.
The warm tones in this Downtown Portland loft are perfect for creating a chic, comfortable home. A stunning array of lights keeps the space well-lit and cozy. I especially love the bare bulb pendant light at the center of the room.
The stunning, rich blue cabinets in this chic London flat are a daring choice, but it works beautifully. Black countertops, lighting and dining table allow the bright blue to take center stage.
The heavy, black wall color in this apartment in Berlin is surprisingly elegant thanks to the chic white bedding and nightstand.
A complete contrast to the last bedroom, this one goes for all-white color palette with grey and black accents. The result is a calm, yet utterly chic escape from the bustling streets of London outside. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
