Clear your calendar on Saturday!  I have big plans for you!   There are 3 events taking place simultaneously in North Oak Cliff that you should not miss!

Purchase a $10 button here and you’ll be entitled to discounts at a long list of stores and restaurants in the area along with a guide to many of the best galleries in Dallas.  Tickets can be purchased in person at Hunky’s, Cozy Cottage and Eno’s with cash or check.

As part of the Oak Cliff Art Crawl,  you will get to experience one of the most innovative displays ever created.  Build A Better Block will be a “living block” art installation to show what a current car-centric four lane street with poor zoning and restrictive development ordinances could be by converting it into a people friendly, neighborhood block.  April 10th and 11th there will be three pop-up businesses set up –  a coffee shop, flower shop and a children’s art studio.  Historical lighting, cafe seating, etc. will be brought in to show the City of Dallas the changes it should focus on if it truly wants to compete with other major US cities.

This block will be unrecognizable this weekend.  I can’t wait to see the transformation!!

Make’s Urban Street Bazaar will have the Bishop Art’s District buzzing on Saturday and Sunday.  This is truly one of my favorite bazaars of the year with many of my favorite independent artisans.   With 60 vendors for their 10th bazaar, you won’t want to miss it!   Bring the dog, your kids, your neighbors….it’s a weekend full of art and entertainment!
