On Point Fashion: The Pin Show
Don’t miss this avante-kitsch, independent fashion show!! The return of The Pin Show will be the largest ever with over 30 designers and 160 walks on the runway plus a new live model showcase for accessory and shoe designers. And you don’t even have to go to Fashion Week in New York to see it!
There will be live photo shoots on two styled sets, created by local fashion stylist, where independent photographers will be capturing each look. You’ll get a chance to shop the pop-up PINS boutique, featuring looks from each designer. This year 15% of sales will go to La Reunion, an artist residency in Oak Cliff.
Independent Designers Rachel Nichelson and Julie McCullough Kim founded the Pin Show in 2007 to provide emerging fashion designers, photographers, artists, stylists, along with retail owners and buyers, a profound launching platform for independent work in the fashion industry.
The featured fashion fashion lines will include Bridal, Swimwear, Cocktail, Evening, Plus-Size, Athletic Wear, and Ready to Wear. This year the Pin Show welcomes designers from Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Austin and Los Angeles.
Tickets are on sale through 2/23/10 via TPS website at www.ThePinShow.com starting at $12 or $18 at the door. VIP seating is available on line only for $40.

I think I’m going to wear a vintage coat that I’ve only worn once before because it’s kind of shiny and a little “I Love Lucy-ish”. I’ll either wear it with skinny jeans or black leggings and some kind of fun shoes that won’t be too uncomfortable. I say wear what you feel good in! You’ll look GREAT!

That was WAY too much fun! I am soooo glad we went and can’t wait til next year! Indigo Private Label was incredible as was Enju (hope I’m spelling that correctly) and so many others. So cool to be a part of the excitement!
